Charity Golf Tournament 2013

In memory of Neil Williamson

Hi Everyone,

What a day the 18 of May was! To all the participants a huge thank you, not only did we have a record number of players but we also had a record number of sponsors. In these dismal times this really is something to be incredibly proud of. The fabulous sum of 11,177,54 Euros was raised before, during and even after the day, with some of those present making donations after the event. This beats last year’s sum by just over 1,000 Euros! Thank you all so much. The funds have been sent to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Anita Frith, Senior Events and Admin. Manager for the Charity and our main contact, has expressed her delight and gratitude on behalf of the charity and wanted me to make sure her thanks were passed on.

The day was another great, fun filled occasion at the splendid San Roque Golf Club, again playing on the beautiful Old Course and thanks to all involved with the Club for giving us such a wonderful time and for being so generous with their fees for this day.

For all the information regarding the day’s winners, teams and sponsors please visit:
A special thanks must go to the Golf The Costa Team for organising such a successful day and for the brilliant website, Mark, Annalisa and Shuj – thank you all so much.

I would also like to sneak in a thank you to my own staff, for giving up their Saturday, supporting the day and by bringing into play their amazing raffle ticket selling skills – thanks guys!

One particular person must have a particular thank you and that is Sandra Mole, who singlehandedly roused/threatened/cajoled we know not how, but managed to get sponsors to support our day and her efforts provided us with the majority of raffle and some of the auction prizes, thank you so much Sandra!

With huge thanks to all participants, and looking forward to next year’s day, I remain

Golfingly yours,

Susan J. Spence Clarke
