Covid-19 updates announced 26 January 2021

by

We received the latest announcement from the Junta de Andalucia yesterday that, due to the high incidence of infections, the following measures will be in place until February 10:

  • Municipal border closures with more than 500 infections per hundred thousand inhabitants.
  • The closure of all non-essential activities in areas with more than 1,000 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

Marbella now has more than 1,000 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, she is not alone, I list some of the other municipalities with the same infection rate:

Estepona, Alhurin de la Torre, Benarraba, Casabermeja, Manilva, Villanueva del Rosario and Tolox.

Gaucin remains in total lockdown.

In all such regions, bars and restaurants have been closed down, together with the majority of businesses.

Masks continue to be mandatory at all times and the curfew remains 22:00 through to 06:00.

Thank you for reading, let’s hope this vaccine gets up and running sharpish.

Stay safe and healthy.
