The Line 2 grant programme for self-employed professionals in Andalucia, which started in 2023, has been renewed until the 30 June 2026. The grant is designed to support self-employed individuals in developing their economic and professional activities, providing a financial boost that can make a significant difference when starting or consolidating a business project. This programme ensures that both newly registered and recently established self-employed professionals can access these subsidies.
Grant Amounts
The amount of the grant varies depending on the beneficiary group and the location where the economic activity is carried out:
- Women under 35 years old: 5.000€, which may increase to 5.500€ if the activity is conducted in a municipality with a population under 10.000.
- Men under 30 years old: 5.000€, potentially rising to 5.500€ in smaller municipalities.
- Women aged 35 and over: 3.800€, which may increase to 5.000€ in municipalities with a population under 10.000.
- Men aged 30 and over: 3.800€, with a possible increase to 5.000€ in smaller municipalities.
This differentiation aims to encourage self-employment, particularly in smaller municipalities, where financial support can have a greater impact on local development.
Eligibility
All self-employed individuals who meet the established requirements from 30 September 2024 are eligible to apply, within the following deadlines:
- Those who commenced their activity between 30 September 2024 and 11 August 2025 must apply by 10 October 2025
- Newly registered professionals must apply within two months from the date of registration. Those who registered on or after 12 August 2025 must also apply within two months from the date of registration (for example, a person registered on 28 August 2025 must apply no later than 28 October 2025).
Key eligibility requirements include being registered in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or in the first contribution group of the Special Regime for Sea Workers, and being a beneficiary of the flat-rate contribution (tarifa plana). In addition, the activity must take place in Andalusia and be supported by a viability plan demonstrating positive results before tax.
How and when to Submit an Application
Applications must be completed exclusively online through the Single Electronic Registry of the Administration of the Junta de Andalucía.
The maximum period for the administration to resolve an application is four months from its entry into the electronic registry. If no decision is made within this period, the application will be considered rejected due to administrative silence.
Obligations of Beneficiaries
Once the grant has been awarded, beneficiaries are required to maintain their self-employed status for a continuous period of 12 months. During this time, their self-employment activity may not be combined with salaried employment that exceeds 25% of a full-time contract. Non-compliance with these conditions may lead to the partial or total repayment of the grant.
In addition, the managing authority may verify the continuation of the economic activity by consulting tax, employment, and social security records, in order to ensure that all requirements are being met.
Why This Is Important
This grant programme represents an excellent opportunity to promote self-employment in Andalusia, providing financial support that can contribute to the growth and consolidation of professional projects. The programme, which will run throughout 2025 and 2026, ensures that both newly registered and already active self-employed professionals can access these grants, provided they meet the requirements and submit their applications within the relevant deadline.
