New App Simplifies Social Security procedures for Self-Employed Workers

by

We are pleased to share some exciting news for self-employed individuals in Spain. The Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social (TGSS) has launched the Import@ss app, a free and user-friendly tool designed to simplify key tasks for autónomos. This app allows you to manage important procedures, such as registering or deregistering as self-employed, directly from your mobile device—no advisor required.

Key Features of the Import@ss App:

  • Register or deregister as self-employed with just a few taps.
  • Modify your contribution base and review payment receipts.
  • Simulate your quota calculations based on expected earnings.
  • Download and access your documents like your life labor report and Social Security number.

In addition to making these processes more accessible, the app supports biometric login for quick, secure access to your account, helping you stay on top of your obligations without needing to remember passwords.

However, please note that while the Import@ss app simplifies your registration with Social Security, it is also essential to update your registration with the Tax Office whenever you make changes to your status as a self-employed. This ensures that both your tax and Social Security records are aligned.

The Import@ss app is available for download on Google Play and App Store. It’s an excellent tool to manage your self-employed status more efficiently and independently.
