Once again, Spence Clarke was privileged to be a sponsor of this very worthy cause. The Spence Clarke golfers welcomed the opportunity to join in this special event to play with wounded and sick men and women from the Armed Services, who play golf as part of their early retirement due to injury.
Battle Back Golf (BBG) is a UK registered charity, established in 2009. Its aim being to provide golfing education programmes, competitive opportunities, and equipment for the BBG cohort to enable the seriously injured service personnel to use golf as part of their physical and cognitive rehabilitation.
The 3-day event, played at three different venues, was hugely successful. Spence Clarke golfers joined the event for the last day at the splendid Añoreta Course in Antequera on 5 October.
Unlike our previous attendance, this year we did not play as a Spence Clarke team. Instead, we joined other teams so we could get to know the participants better.
The Service men and women play really well and thoroughly enjoy these trips which are organised throughout the year.
