At Spence Clarke, we take great pride in nurturing a culture that values commitment, loyalty, and the people who help shape our firm. One of the most cherished traditions we have established is the celebration of colleagues who reach 20 years of dedicated service. When a team member achieves this, we honour their contribution with a special gathering and a meaningful gift.
The first to reach this remarkable anniversary was Claudia, who is now a partner at the firm. In 2018, we marked her 20 years with a celebration worthy of the occasion. Claudia received a beautiful pair of diamond earrings, which she continues to wear proudly to this day.
Most recently, we had the pleasure of celebrating another partner’s 20-year anniversary—Miguel Ángel. Although his anniversary came in 2022, we were finally able to organise his celebration just two weeks ago. As the saying goes, “better late than never,” and the occasion was certainly worth the wait.
To make the event truly memorable, we decided to surprise Miguel Ángel. While he believed he was attending a business meeting with Alistair, one of the founding partners, at a restaurant in Marbella in preparation for a supposed meeting with an important potential client at the 360 Blue Sky Bar, the rest of the Spence Clarke team was secretly assembling at the venue.
The look of surprise on Miguel Ángel’s face when he arrived and found us all there was priceless. Even more so when he received his special gift: a complete set of brand-new Golf Clubs and gorgeous bag, perfect for one of his favourite pastimes. Despite the unexpected nature of the gathering, Miguel Ángel rose to the occasion with his usual charm and eloquence, delivering heartfelt words of gratitude to the entire team and especially to the founding partners.
It was a moment of joy, reflection, and camaraderie—one that reinforces the strong bonds we have built over the years.
We now look forward with anticipation to see who the next member of the Spence Clarke team will be to reach this significant time with us. Here is to many more years of dedication, growth, and shared success.
