On Wednesday 6 May, we had the pleasure of attending a special event hosted by Nockolds Lawyers Spain to celebrate the opening of their new office in the historic centre of Estepona. The event was attended by myself and my co-partner, Miguel Ángel Blanca, alongside a wide range of professionals from across the Costa del Sol.
Guests were warmly welcomed into Nockolds’ new premises, where drinks and canapés were served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The gathering provided an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow professionals while marking an important milestone for the firm.
The event included speeches from the company’s directors, Javier Jurado, who spoke in both English and Spanish, Darren Hayward, who spoke in English, and Lynn Cowley, who addressed guests in Spanish. They shared insights into the firm’s history, noting that the company will soon celebrate 200 years in the United Kingdom. Although Nockolds has only been established in Spain for three years, the firm is already experiencing strong growth and expressed its intention to remain in the country for many years to come.
The directors also outlined their areas of expertise and their enthusiasm for continuing to expand their services in Spain, reflecting a clear commitment to supporting both local and international clients.
We were also honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, who delivered a thoughtful speech. He highlighted the significant transformation and growth that Estepona has experienced in recent years, drawing comparisons with the development of Nockolds. He expressed his hope that this positive progress continues for businesses across the Costa del Sol.
Following the speeches, guests continued networking, enjoying conversations and building professional relationships within the local business community.
