Charity Golf Tournament 2011

In memory of Neil Williamson and in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Hi Golfers,

Another glorious day at the El Paraiso Golf Club! Our third charity event and how well supported we were! We had a full complement of teams and more. Together we managed to raise a staggering 9,321.42 Euros beating last year’s total sum raised for the Charity. Well done to all of you for your invaluable support!

After the golf, a buffet lunch was provided by the Club and the usual auction was held. The Auction was hilarious, hosted by Steve Gilmour of Talk Radio Europe and Ronan Maguir of Golf The Costa and event organizer, aka the Hinge and Bracket of the golfing world. They raised not only significant sums for the items being auctioned but hilarious laughter throughout the auction. Well done guys, you can come again!

We were again supported by the Mijas Lions, thank you all. The sponsors came out in force too, with most of the 18 holes being taken. Thank you all so much!

I will be writing to you in early 2012, to advise date, place and time for next year’s Charity event.

The Income Tax and Wealth Tax Declaration campaign is now underway. All tax residents of Spain are reminded that Income and Wealth Tax Declarations must be filed no later than 30 June.

In addition, Great Fortunes Tax Declarations must be submitted by 31 July.
