This year’s Spence Clarke summer beach party was a resounding success, filled with thrilling competition, exciting water sports, and unforgettable moments. Held at the brand-new “Parque Mediterraneo” sports resort, which opened in May 2024, the event took full advantage of the resort’s impressive 50,000m² of sports facilities. From volleyball and football to handball and basketball courts, as well as outdoor gym areas, all with stunning views of Marbella’s coastline, the location set the perfect stage for a day of fun and friendly competition.
The highly anticipated volleyball tournament saw the Spence Clarke teams—Chunky Monkeys, Flying Fireballs, Awesome United, and The Breaking Balls—go head-to-head in a bid to claim the coveted cup and this year’s grand prize: a boat trip from Estepona port. Last year’s champions, Awesome United, were confident in their chances of a repeat victory. However, in a surprising twist, the Chunky Monkeys—comprising Emelie, Candelaria, Laura, Eva, Rob, Alicia, and Miguel Angel—dominated the competition with an unstoppable performance. Congratulations to the Chunky Monkeys on their well-deserved win, and we hope they enjoy their upcoming cruise!
Following the intense tournament, the group made their way to El Cable beach for an afternoon of water sports. The bravest members took on the exhilarating Octopus, Bull, and Sofa boat rides, while others opted for the more serene paddle boards, pedal boats, or simply enjoyed swimming and sunbathing along the beautiful shore.
The day continued with a delicious vegan lunch at the renowned Playa Padre Beach Club, where the team indulged in a spectacular meal, just as they did last year. The afternoon flowed into evening with drinks and relaxation on the lounge beds reserved exclusively for Spence Clarke. The festivities carried on until 11:00 pm, with many dancing to the beats of the DJ “Who Made Who.” For the most dedicated partygoers, about 12 in total, the night ended in the early hours at the Marbella port, where singing and dancing lasted until nearly 4:00 am.
It was truly a day to remember, made possible by the enthusiasm and participation of all Spence Clarke members. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event—more fun, more sun, and more memories to be made!
