Spence Clarke was proud to be part of the prestigious Top International Business Guide & Awards, hosted by SUR in English on Wednesday, 28 May, at the stunning Beach Club Holiday World Resort in Benalmádena. The event celebrated international business excellence across southern Spain and gathered around 100 representatives from companies, organisations, and institutions with strong ties to the expat and international community on the Costa del Sol.
Spence Clarke was invited to attend this high-profile gathering, which forms part of SUR in English’s 40th anniversary celebrations. Our firm was represented by partner Claudia Vargas Puccio, who joined business leaders, public authorities, and media at the event. We were especially honoured to be included in the 2024 edition of SUR in English’s Top International Business Guide, which was officially presented during the event.
The guide highlights key professional service providers across industries such as finance, education, real estate, technology, and healthcare—making it an essential reference for the international community living and working in the south of Spain.
The event was hosted with the support of CaixaBank, the Junta de Andalucía’s Finance Ministry, and the CEM Malaga Business Confederation, and was attended by dignitaries including the first deputy mayor of Benalmádena, Presi Aguilera, as well as consular representatives.
During the evening, EY Global Delivery Services Spain and Helle Hollis received Top International Business Awards, recognising their strong presence and contributions to the region’s economy and global connections. Inspiring speeches were given by representatives of both award-winning companies, praising Malaga’s talent pool, connectivity, and quality of life.
SUR in English’s editor Rachel Haynes noted that the evening was about “celebrating 40 years of supporting local business in the south of Spain” and acknowledged the invaluable role played by the international community in enriching the Costa del Sol’s business landscape.
