Indirect Tax Forum 2024.

by

Alicia Jiménez, our partner in charge of the Commercial Department, attended the ITR Indirect Tax Forum 2024 in London. The forum took place on May 21-22 at the sophisticated Leonardo Royal Hotel, situated near the cathedral with its resonant bells and offering spectacular views of Millennium Bridge.

This year’s forum brought together 230 international tax professionals, advisors, and regulators. The focus was on the latest trends and challenges in indirect taxation, particularly how to adapt to a world increasingly driven by digitalisation and automation.

Industry experts led a series of panels and discussions covering diverse topics such as e-invoicing, VAT compliance, and the impact of digital transformation on tax practices.

A significant portion of the forum was dedicated to exploring the evolving tax landscape post-Brexit, with a focus on how the UK is diverging from EU regulations and the technological advancements required by these developments.

For more detailed information on the sessions and outcomes of the forum, visit the International Tax Review’s official website (ITR).
