Last month, Spence Clarke was proud to sponsor the inspiring “Women Masters of Art” lecture organised by The Arts Society de la Frontera, held at the beautiful San Roque Club.
Our team, María, Naroa and I, enjoyed a lively and engaging morning speaking with attendees interested in our work and the ways we support clients. The morning continued with a captivating lecture and complemented by the elegant Christmas decorations already on display at San Roque Club.
The lecture was delivered by Alejandra Cazaro, a freelance curator and gallery researcher who has also developed a respected practice in interior design for art collectors.
The talk offered a fascinating journey through art history, spotlighting extraordinary women artists often overlooked over time. From Sofonisba Anguissola and Clara Peeters to Artemisia Gentileschi, Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Camille Claudel, Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, and contemporary icons like Yayoi Kusama, Nikki de Saint Phalle, and Judy Chicago, the lecture celebrated their enduring impact. The event underscored the long-overdue recognition of women in art and the vital role they play in shaping cultural history.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with The Arts Society de la Frontera and to participating in future events that enrich our region’s cultural life.
