Central FM Charity Golf Tournament

In celebration of FM Central’s 25^th Anniversary a golf day was organised at the La Cala America course.

The day was very well supported and started off in typical Southern Spanish style with blue skies and gorgeous sun, however, within 15 minutes the heavens opened and one could be excused for thinking the whole day had been transported to Malaysia, the tropical like storm lasted for approximately 20 minutes but the rumbling thunder continued throughout the day.

Nothing like wandering the campo in a thunderstorm whilst wielding an iron stick!

Spence Clarke sponsored the ‘nearest the pin competition’ on hole 4 and the Spence Clarke team, comprised Susan Spence Clarke, Miguel Angel Blanca Prieto, Javier Osorio Soria and Alistair Spence Clarke. For once each player came off the course feeling a good day’s golf had been had. Unfortunately, though not good enough to win any prizes.

After the play, the Club’s restaurant provided a delicious vegan paella for the team and there was excellent Motown entertainment and a Bruno Mars tribute performance, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the golfers and luncheon guests.
